Drove into the Ghost yesterday and climbed on the Sorcerer. No logging trucks seen. The ice dam at the first bridge will get worse with each passing day. We made it through in a stock Tacoma but the ruts are getting quite deep and its challenging to try and stay up high on the sides as everything is melting...
I would avoid it in anything other than a 4x4 with good clearance (not a Subaru). Was in Waiparous last weekend and driving was good all the way to the bog (might want chains for the Jeep?) but it was harder on the way out b/c of the melting in the ruts - again high clearance 4x4's and lots of karma in the bank..
