With the basement warmed up by the Swiss last fall, I've got the British (Ian P. and Nick B, the self-described "Euro D Team") in my basement. They've have had some fun in the last two weeks. In some sort of rough order with quotes from Ian P:

French Reality April 3rd:
"Got up it. Conditions good."

Nightmare on Wolf Street April 4th:
Same as French Reality ("A *uckload harder than French Reality--Scottish grade IX 9").

Drama Queen, Stanley.
High Drama. Top pitch falling apart a bit but doesn't matter.

Terminator with mixed start April 9th or so:
Mixed start was reportedly "interesting." They went up the right, rumor is that the left side is better from some other Euros but Ian says that doesn't make sense. Ice blob with not special gear followed by 25 feet of thin climbing with no gear.

Curtain Call April 11th:
"Very gentle compared with Stanley."

Silver Lining April 13th or so:
Two pitches done then falling snow/avalanche scenario, My hands left indents on my tools."

Suffer Machine April 15th or so:
Tried Teddy Bear's Picnic start but, "It's a mess--hangers missing, it's like a dead route. So we did the original which was nice." WG note--they got back VERY late from this day, the wardens were alerted but not scrambled. Apparently the skiing is exceptionally difficult in the dark with a breakable crust and possibly sub-Canadian National Alpine Team technique.

Riptide April 17th:
"The skiing was definitely the crux. Five-and-half hours from the car to the route, and three hours back." Nice effort.

Bear Spirit, April 19th:
"Today was the day we finally got what we came for! Four bolt mincing." No skiing. WG Note--the photos make it look like Bear Spirit is holding up really well to the warm temps last week, and re-growing with the cold temps this week.
