Climbed French Kiss on Sunday, and other parties were on Quick & Dirty. The climbs are very in, but also very wet. It felt as if you were standing in the shower. I'm not sure if I've ever had an experience where everytime you looked up you got "rain" in your eyes.
On another note, it snowed hard all day. If it keeps up the skiing should be in soon. Unfortunately there's more than 30 trees down on the Akamina Pass trail to Wall/Forum lakes.

Have you been to Waterton this weekend? did it rain down there like it did in the Pass/Castle area?

Was in Waterton Sat/Sun. Did Experts Choice (LHS) on Sat in 4+ condition (a bit chandeliered and not as full as usual - at least that's what my partner said comparing it to the last time he was in there), middle was fat WI6, RHS was not formed.
Sunday went into Q & D and did Pearl Necklace and whatever the pillar to the left of it is... Did lots of laps on Pearl Necklace to pump ourselves out stupid.
Bluebird skies Sat, cloudy with a a few flurries on Sun.

Climbed both French Kiss and Quick and Dirty on Jan 1.
Both are in great shape. There is lots of ice in the area. Both Le Pilier des Putains and Pearl Necklace are in.
Had a large gusher open up way above us while on pitch one of Quick and Dirty. Got absolutely soaked for about 3-4 minutes. Other then that the climbing was stellar.

Waterton rules! besides the small breeze that floats through the area, the ice is amazing, alot and access is sweet. Hit the left gully and Bridal Veil falls. The gully was more elevation gain to hit the ice than expected - but darn fun. Bridal Veil - what can i say? If you can hack the hike, the climbing is a mix of the GBU and Weeping Wall. No bull trout, no crowds, reminiscent of the movie; the shinning ... jd

Went to Waterton two weekends ago and it was done. Everything S. facing was just cooked off. It hasn't exactly been cold since then so I imagine things are even worse now. The lake is starting to open up now so even getting across to the N. facing climbs would be "interesting."
